Legal Profession is considered to be one of the most noble professions and rated much high due to its members’ honesty, candor and integrity. But in recent years, it is seen that number of allegations are increasing against specific attorneys due to their involvement in corruption. Attorneys are required to be honest & candid as they are representative of truth and nothing else.

A lawyer is required to be truthful and honest to his clients, and expected to give right advice to them. If he feels like his client has filed a case on false basis, he should not represent him and should withdraw himself from that case. It is his duty to represent clients on truth without manipulating the facts, also he/she should not hide any information or misrepresent him in court on any basis. It is another thing that misrepresentation occurs unintentionally.

A lawyer should not incorporate any statement that he knows is a false one, so while meeting with a person on client’s behalf, he should take into account the truth as a ground basis. A case for which decision is adjourned, the lawyer should not hide any fact regarding any relevant issues, knowingly. Even if he considers that hiding of conduct will be injurious or can change the visage of case, it will be considered as a crime.

And it is the moral obligation of all lawyers that they should not commit any criminal act that badly reflects their honesty or truthfulness or can disrupt their career. They should not get involved in any activity that can be a fraud case, dishonesty or deceit to their clients, court, career or their co-workers.
